Surrender
Transitive VERB
1. to relinquish control or possession
Often we can try so hard to move things, to change things and fight for something that just doesn’t seem to be working out. We are swimming upstream instead of surrendering to the natural flow of the river. We are resistant to the path of our destiny. This in turn may cause confusion, restless thoughts, questions after questions and eventually exhaustion. Sometimes all that is needed is to surrender. When we surrender, we are not giving up, we are making space for greater insight, we are calming the mind and being deeply present in the now. Sometimes making hard plans can be detours and take us on a longer course. Often it is the ‘being-ness’ that provides us with our next great idea, mission, purpose, adventure or experience. If this resonates with you this week, maybe it is a sign to focus on relinquishing control, on being present and allowing each moment to unfold without resistance.
With love,
Sarah
